Yu-Wen, Huang
Introduction
Yu-Wen, Huang is Assistant Professor at Shih Chien University, where her areas of expertise include communication law, information technology law, fair trade law, and intellectual property law. Professor Huang received her Ph.D. in Law from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Professor Huang has extensive academic and professional experience in technology law, telecommunications, and regulatory governance. She has served as Assistant Professor in the Graduate Institute of Patent at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Assistant Professor in the Department of Law and Graduate School of Law at Shih Hsin University as well as Director of the Center for Media Technology and Law at Shih Hsin University, Assistant Professor in the Department of Transportation and Communication Management Science and Institute of Telecommunications Management at National Cheng Kung University, and Legal Advisor to the Intelligent Transportation Center at National Cheng Kung University.
In the public and industry sectors, Professor Huang has been a frequent lecturer and consultant for the Fair Trade Commission, Executive Yuan, Supervisor of the Taiwan Telecommunication Industry Development Association, and affiliated researcher at the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research. She has also served as a mediation commissioner for administrative litigation at the Supreme Administrative Court and the Taipei High Administrative Court, and has held numerous appointments as an advisory or review committee member for the National Communications Commission (NCC), including the Broadcasting and Television Program and Advertisement Advisory Meeting, the Mobile Communications Business Concession License Renewal Review Committee, the Wireless Broadcasting Business Broadcast License Renewal Review Committee, and the Wireless Television Business Television License Renewal Review Committee, as well as editing committee member for the "News and Broadcasting Group" under the National Institute for Compilation and Translation's Broadcasting Dictionary Project.
