With the goal of creating a diverse learning environment and equipping students with legal knowledge to cater to the need for talent with cross-disciplinary skills in a democratic society, Shih Chien University has set up an integrated innovative talent development model to nurture students who demonstrate the unique features and values of our university. We hope to contribute to sustainable development by equipping our students with a global view and diverse mindsets. In September 2021, supported by Chairman Shieh Mung-Shiung (謝孟雄) and led by President Ting Pin-Shou (丁斌首), Shih Chien established a preparatory group for the Department of Law. Noted legal experts and scholars Chang Li-Ching (張麗卿), Chen Tsung-Fu (陳聰富), Lin Dong-Mao (林東茂), Shee Huey-Ling (施慧玲) and Bernard Y. KAO (高玉泉) were invited to form the preparatory group. In August 2022, the Department of Law was granted approval from the Ministry of Education and is ready to recruit students starting from 2023.
